Any manufacturing company who wishes to produce and distribute halal pharmaceuticals in Malaysia, the company would need to refer and comply with the requirements described in the Malaysian Standard on Halal Pharmaceutical MS 2424:2019.

The requirements prescribed by the Pharmaceutical Inspection Co-operation Scheme (PIC/s) GMP Guidelines, and PIC/s Annexes are integral to the application of MS 2424.

In Malaysia, the conformance to PIC/S is under the authority of the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA).

The company will be able to apply for Malaysia Halal Certification once the product registration has been approved by NPRA.
